1)   Passport with minimum validity of 6 months;
2)   Two photographs 3x4;
3)   International Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate;
4)   Application form duly filled in;
5)   Fees by demand draft or cash (consult the fee table);
6)   Sedex charges of R$ 35 if passport is required back by Sedex;
7)   The Embassy requires, in most cases, one working day to process the application;
8)   Visa will be valid for six months from the date of issue;
9)   Tourist visa cannot be extended in India. The person must leave India before the expiry of the visa.
10) No other activity such as taking up job, study or missionary work in India is permitted on tourist visa.

All types of visas will be issued gratis to the nationals of Afghanistan, Argentina, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Korea, Jamaica, Maldives, Mauritius, Mongolia, South Africa and Uruguay.
